[edit] Origin

The Reborn were Imperials who were taken by Desann, a Dark Jedi, to the Valley of the Jedi, thus infusing them with the Force. The name Reborn possibly stems from their 'rebirth' into Force-sensitivity, or from Lord Hethrir's faction the Empire Reborn. The majority of Reborn were from the group of Empire Youth selected by Desann's master Lord Hethrir.

[edit] Classification

Note: These are not official classifications, and are merely taken from the Wookiepedia classification.

Reborn are classified into these groups:

[edit] Standard

A Simple Reborn
A Simple Reborn
  • Appearance: Orange-Hooded Man wearing Tan Tights
  • Lightsaber Style(s): Slower version of fast style
  • Force Technique(s): Speed, Resistance
  • Description: A Reborn with minimal training. Uses a very slow version of the Fast Style (which amounts to a very weak attack without multiple strikes) and cannot draw on the Force for assistance with saber locks very well (but can still hold one if dominating). This is a Reborn that probably should not have been introduced to battle yet, and would have little or no chance against a real Jedi.

[edit] Acrobat

An Acrobatic Reborn
An Acrobatic Reborn
  • Appearance: Dark Blue-Hooded Man wearing Sky Blue Tights
  • Lightsaber Style(s): Slower version of fast style, Medium
  • Force Technique(s): Speed, Jump, Resistance
  • Description: A Reborn that has had little Lightsaber Training, but exceptional acrobatic ability, able to perform cartwheels and even the overhead saber maneuver (which can be a dangerous technique). Cannot draw on the Force for assistance with saber locks very well (but can do better than standard). Due to the lack of Lightsaber Training, however, this is not a Reborn that could stand against a real Jedi and defeat him/her regularly. It might be possible for this Reborn to stall enemy Jedi long enough for reinforcements, but not much more.

[edit] Force User

A Force User
A Force User
  • Appearance: Red-Hooded Man wearing Orange and Red Tights
  • Lightsaber Style(s): Medium
  • Force Technique(s): Jump, Speed, Push, Pull, Sense, Resistance
  • Description: A standard Reborn that is fit enough for battle, having a better command of Lightsaber and Force Techniques. Can draw on the Force for assistance with saber locks moderately well, though not at the exceptional level. This is a Reborn that may be able to stand up to a Jedi, though still does not have a viable chance of victory.

[edit] Fencer

  • Appearance: Dark Green-Hooded Man wearing Light Green Tights
  • Lightsaber Style(s): Fast, Medium
  • Force Technique(s): Speed, Push, Rage, Lightsaber Throw, Resistance
  • Description: A highly skilled Reborn with commanding Lightsaber Techniques. Has not improved much from the standard in Force Techniques, however. Can draw on the Force for assistance with saber locks well enough to be victorious. This is a Reborn that can stand up to a real Jedi and may actually have a viable chance of victory.

[edit] Reborn Boss

  • Appearance: Red-Hooded Man wearing Dark Blue Red-Striped Tights
  • Lightsaber Style(s): All
  • Force Technique(s): Jump, Push, Pull, Speed, Grip, Lightsaber Throw, Rage, Resistance
  • Description: A highly skilled Reborn with commanding Lightsaber and Force Techniques. Can draw on the Force for assistance with saber locks very well, and can dominate most of the time. This is a Reborn that is more than ready to fight, having mastered all three styles. Can stand against a Jedi and definitely has a viable chance at victory. Bosses have all the abilities of the Reborn Acrobat.

[edit] Invasion

Desann
Desann

The Reborn, along with their Shadowtrooper counterparts, and Stormtrooper Squads, were able to cause sufficient damage to the Jedi Academy during Desann's invasion, killing a good share of Jedi. Reborn were not able to stand against Jedi on their own, as they were just not as well trained as the Jedi were, and were never properly disciplined. They compensated for this with superior numbers. Reborn were especially skilled at teamwork, and used this element to bring down even some of the Jedi Trainers, which are the most elite of the Jedi. Their disadvantages proved to be too large however, one of the most prominent being the fact that they didn't have a very commanding leader. Desann merely focused on Kyle Katarn instead of the larger battle at hand, and even took some of the Shadowtroopers out of the battle to stall Kyle long enough so that he could have enough time to enhance his power with the Massassi Temple. This power was not enough to defeat Kyle, and many of the Reborn in that attack were killed or captured. A surprising number of them survived and escaped however, later joining Tavion as the Disciples of Ragnos.
