Hey you *&^#*" Latinus!! Anyway, I knew this was coming. Welcome! Just don't forget to add your signature (those four "~")in the end of whatever you write. Also, place smthng in your userpage, so that your name doesn't appear red...  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 22:48, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

It is my duty to give you a warning

concerning this:

You exposed me?? What tactics fool?? You expose yourself as an artificial idiot everytime you post. if this is the quality of members on here why don't you rename your country Atlantis, i'm sure you can quite easily use the same bizarre arguements to get 'proof' and few people will argue, after all you got away with ignoring the UN and NATO for this page, the world is your oyster. [edit] Banning and stuff.

I strongly advise you to refrain from using bad language towards other users.

As for your banning, I repeat my last post in Talk:FYROM:

FYI this is the block log of 195.93.21.130, and this is for Reaper7. Currently 195... is blocked for 24 hours, starting from 23:26, March 26, 2006 (meaning the library IP is blocked until late tonight). The same does not apply for Reaper7 (meaning the user can log on from a different IP and edit normally). However, I strongly advise Reaper7 to refrain from bad language towards other users, or he can be blocked for that also (read WP:NPA). Reaper7, please take your time to read the wikipedia policies and guidelines as they appear in your welcome message in your talk page. You will be able to edit from that library only after tonight. If you have any questions click here to message me.  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 12:25, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Welcome again! Take care and don't give reasons to other users to intimidate you.  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 15:34, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Sorry to offend anyone, where I am from in London Fool and Idiot are not bad language(and never will be according to the english or english dictionary which unfortunately I speak as first language) especially after someone has falsely exposed you as a liar. Bad language in English means words that I cannot say but hint at here: F**K, B**ch ect ect not fool and idiot. But point taken and I understand there is 0 chance of ever changing the Macedonia page inaccordance with UN, NATO and EU ect ect... It obvious I have come too late and am lucky my brush with the FYROMian did not end with me banned forever as I understand their power on these sites, my best bet is staying away because the next time I am accused of being a liar and being 'exposed' I might let a bad word like silly of fool slip out, i will stick mainly to the sports sections from now on. Thanks for the welcome besides that!

Ok. If you wanna use fool/silly, use it, BUT, not ad hominem (i.e. not he is silly). You can always say this is a silly arguement. Not too often though AND with full citation, or you won't be taken seriously when you say it.
Saw your first article. Congrats! I'll make a few minor corrections, if you don't mind.

Bravo. An milas kala, mporoume na grafoume ellhnika o enas ston allo (ki an exeis kai ellhnikous xarakthres akoma kalytera). Article corrections done. Check 'em out here. You are very close to perfection! Look carefully at the minor changes I made for your future articles. I'll have someone check whether we can remove the annoying tag ontop of the article (already done while editing this message, without my notification, see article talk). Click edit to see the code of this message too (as an additional tool for future articles/talks). Again, congratulations!  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 10:59, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and I shouldn't have forgotten to award you! You can copy this award on your user page (along with other information about yourself) and be proud of it! Congratulations!  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 15:22, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Awards and stuff

Awards should be given carefully NikoSilver, otherwise they loose their meaning. You're very fast to award user Reaper for only one article, but you didn't even criticize him for calling me a fool and an idiot. Instead you advised him how he can continue using insulting words and get away with it. Very noble of you! Back to the rewards - I noticed that some users exchange awards as if they were baseball cards (It reminds me to Greece exchanging 12 points with Cyprus on Eurosong EVERY YEAR). You can do it if you like it, but you can guess how the others see it. Just my 2cent. --Realek 16:47, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

You address to me, Realek, and yet you paste this message in the newbee's talk page. How very thoughtfull of you! Congratulations for your impartiality! Did you even read Vassilis Tsiartas, or compare it with other footballer's biographies? I bet you didn't.
I am also certain that if the user had expressed pro-FYROMian feelings in the talks, it'd be you that would award him a Barnstar, even without any first article at all! And you can be certain of this: I would NOT violate WP:BITE and WP:AGF just to make a silly (here you go!) point in another persons' talkpage!
 NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 17:04, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
PS By the way, last time I checked all your significant contributions I didn't see any bolded N (standing for New Article, if you don't even know what that is).
PS2 What does "I strongly advise you to refrain from using bad language towards other users." mean? Is it an ecouragement to swear to you? Did you even notice that he said "Sorry to offend anyone"?  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 17:04, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't just give away awards, because they are ment to be earned - not exchanged between greek users. I could have given away and received a lot of meaningless awards (there are a lot of Macedonians here, but I guess we don't do that. Anyway, my N articles are in the Macedonian Wikipedia. Here on the English I'm forced to fight FOGOPian vandalism all the time. Finaly lets look at your advice to Reaper to refrain from using bad language. You only advised him that to aviod blocking. You didn't say he was wrong to do it. Instead you advised him how he can use "softer" insults and get away with it. And please dont preach me about WP:BITE and WP:AGF. I felt you breaking them on my own skin so many times. --Realek 20:34, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Just watch and learn in what context you may use the word "silly", Reaper7. It seems, you'll need it more than I originally thought.  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 19:03, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vassilis Tsiartas

What are you trying to do now in the article? I am online, I can help. Ask me...  NikoSilver  (T)@(C) 21:27, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

All done, what do you think filemou? Got the image from a friend and a great one I think!Reaper7 21:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Good job, for the most part. Let me give you a few additional hints:
  • Remove the copyright logo from the text of the image in the article. People may misinterpret it.
  • The guideline for pics is to crop them on the main subject. Do that next time with an image editor before you upload one.
  • Be absolutely certain on the copyright status of your image. Otherwise, wikipedia will delete it to save you (and itself) from copyright trouble.
  • When you want to indent your comments do not use tab, or spaces. Instead, place ":" (or "::" or ":::" etc) before the first word. If you use space(s) or tab(s) you get the following result (which I corrected in your comment above):
There's a space before this comment!
  • Use the "Show Preview" button to be sure that your changes are immaculate before you press save. That way, you (and other users) will be able to view a clearer history of the article (click it for Tsiartas').
  • Use "history" (top of article tab) to view changes of other users in your articles. Press "diff" to see the changes.
  • Change your prefs (top right) to "watch" all pages you edit (very practical).
  • Use a star ("*") before sentences to create this bullet effect.
    • Use two stars ("**") for this one! (and so on, as with the ":")
  • Press "edit" in my comments (or wherever you want) to see the code of anything you are interested in reproducing.
  • Use three apostrophies for bold text. Two for italics. Five for bold italics.
  • Draw lines seldomly (almost never). You only need four "-" to draw one line, the rest are redundant.
I'll give you more hints later sometime, BUT, RTFM, as Latinus suggested in his Welcome message above!! (click to find out what that means)

[edit] FYROM or Republic of Macedonia

After extensive edit warring, article protection, and the statement of the extended version supporting side regarding both the name of the article, and the intro paragraph, a poll has been placed. The brief version supporting side is to keep the name of the article AND the intro paragraph free of the UN name (FYROM). Keep in mind that you can select more than one of the options (8! to the moment) that may suit you. Please participate in the vote and ask other editors you know to do so too. Increased participation can make the outcome of the vote as NPOV as possible.  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 16:43, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Here: Poll. Edit the options you like (it is advisable to check more than one) and paste the following line under the last vote:

# Place here a brief comment. ~~~~

i.e., put a # so that it is autonumbered, then place a brief comment with a reason for supporting this option, and then use four tildes to sign and date. Ok?  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 18:50, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Done Reaper7 19:16, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

sorry to everybody, but that one really made me laugh. User:Politis.

Niko, been blocked from making any editing on your user talk because someone called testi 321 or something vandalised on my IP???(I am going mad with this), also why has mine and other votes on option#4 on the poll been deleted, the option with more deleted votes by pluribus than any other. Mine survived for like 8 days while others around me got removed than finally mine and some others got removed today for Suffrage!!! What is the point of asking me and others to vote is they are all deleted? And the other options are protected?? Reaper7 21:57, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

One by one:

1) Vote: sorry, my fault. I shouldn't have asked you in the first place, because it clearly states that nobody can participate if he hasn't been around earlier than March 1st. I had no idea, but should have read the rules before I invited you. (you know I don't like it more than you do)
2) IP what? who? when? and most important: FOR HOW LONG?
You can go and use another PC somewhere if you want and if you remember your password.
Thank God I am "watching" this page, or I wouldn't see your message. Continue talk below.

Man, I try to be as Neutral as possible, otherwise nobody will agree. Furthermore, the "fewer" thing was in the previous sketch too. Indeed the countries ARE fewer (I think the FYROM side claims 112 vs 45). I don't want to put "rest of the world" there. I'd also suggest you totally remove your comment so that the sketch remains at the bottom (to... rub it in better). Let THEM disagree. Not us.  NikoSilver  (T) @ (C) 11:32, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page edits

Article talk pages are for discussing how to improve the article, not for arguments about the subject of an article. Edits designed to "cause distress" (your words) or antagonize people of a particular nationality are simply not OK. They violate Wikipedia policy and I invite you to stop now. Jonathunder 23:18, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

- Will do, I thought it was important in educating members but I can see your point, I will refrain from commenting on the situation as i have done any further. However, I can't remember writing the words 'cause distress' and indeed have no aim to do so and doubt I have. Also I was not argueing with anyone, so that comment was lost on me too. I wonder slightly if you even understand the politics involved as I don't see how my post could in your words 'cause distress'. I was talking politics and why Greeks have been the victims of FYROM politics inorder to influence neutrals who know nothing but still comment on one side as there are a few.Reaper7 23:27, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I appologise however if the following statement distressed or deeply wounded(seferis) anyone:

Feeling sorry about Slavs To claim someone's history, symbols and culture is bad enough, but ask yourself why they have to do it - the answer to that question gives me sympathy for them. Archimedes was born in Sicily, do you hear any Italians claiming him as Italian? LOL, of course not. Other Greeks have been born around the world but stayed Greek and encouraged Greek culture, non more than Alexander the Great who spread Hellenism across the known world at the time. That is called background Politis - little lesson for you, if some slavs who came down in the 5th Century AD want to take this history - it is going to take more than 2 liberals and 20 slavs to change it on this site. Even if the UN, EU, Nato, all organisations did not agree with Greece - we would still fight. If they claimed to be the spiritual descendants of Alexander fine, let them have everything. This little American puppet state let me tell our viewers has claimed Greeks to be Africans in DNA tests, have said Greeks are not in anyway responsible for the Macedonian empire of the 3rd Century BC but only them - a bunch of Bulgarian Slavs who came down in the 5th Century AD and after. I say let them have their day in the sun, many on here have not even heard the Greek side or aknowledged the horrors of what their state claims about Greeks, a race that has given more to the world then any other. When this issue is ressolved, those who built this page or encouraged it who are non slavs will scratch their heads or maybe read for once in their lives and see what this state was claiming - they were never going to get away with the biggest cultural fraud of the century since Hitler claimed his race were the true descendants of the Arians. The FYROMs have also tried to prove their case through DNA (like the Nazis)accusing the Greek people of being closely related to Africans not connected to Macedonia and them ofcourse...direct descendants of Alexander the Great's people themselves, I know this is hard to believe for someone not from Greece or the Baklans but this was actually the country's most famous recent propaganda (look at the names of the researchers..no bets on which little state they are from): http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=11260506&dopt=Abstract

Luckily this paper was laughed out of the academic community due to the fact the gene they were looking at had nothing to do with descent - according to them the Japanese are also more african then modern Syrians, LOL: http://www.nature.com/cgi-taf/DynaPage.taf?file=/nature/journal/v415/n6868/full/415115b_r.html

and Greece could only sit back and laugh at the audacity of the attempted pure race and eugenics card used on them ala Nazis propaganda. Now we have liberals on this site who think Greece is an old Monster, lol, but have not even attempted to research the dispute which is very clear with huge assumptions declared. Greece has been the victim in history many times and now is the case far more than this small band of slavs everyone is confused at including the Bulgarians who see them as confused Bulgarians paradoxically. I feel sorry for them. Their culture and modern state is built on denying who Greeks claim to be and then inserting themselves in the hole conviently created.Reaper7 21:23, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Byzantine flag, eh?

Since when are the stars, the moon and other astronomical creations the property of one nation or empire??? Quote: "As far as I'm aware the crescent and star combination has a heritage directly linked to the Babylonian cult of Inana (who if I'm not mistaken was usually depicted as crowned with the crescent and star combination) - and with the numerous other equivalent female fertility cults of near eastern antiquity (e.g., the cult of Isis). Its subsequent adoption as an Islamic symbol is similar to the Christian appropriation of pagan symbolism elsewhere (e.g., the various European "Black Madonnas"), and is testament to the persistence of ancient systems of belief into late antiquity and early modern times." How about that for a theory? So let's stop this effort to appropriate everything in Turkey to Greeks and Byzantines.. Now that you mentioned it, maybe I should go to the Byzantium article and mention this.. Baristarim 22:37, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

NO obviously you are confused severely, what I am saying, is that it is a little more than a coincidence to anyone with 20% of a brain the fact that the flag of byzantium at the time of its fall to the Turks was a moon and star, this should not be grouped in the theories section like Attaturk's dreams, LOL. But please - what I posted was obviously not for you, don't care if the Byzantiums got it off the Eygptians who got it off Martians - that is not the point, it was the flag of Byzantium and that is fact and that is where the Turks aquired it, and it is a little more than a 'theory' to a non Asiaitic Turk. Reaper7 22:55, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

No, not neccessarily.. It didnt originate from the Byzantines [2], so it is quite possible that Turks got it from the other peoples of the Middle East and Persia before - please see this [3].. It explicitly states that this symbol has been assumed as being transferred via battles, but the true origin is the cultural movements of the Middle East.. Seljuq Turks and other Muslim Turkic tribes used this symbol on various occasions before the fall of Constantinople.. OTOH, I agree that there are certain legends mentioned in that page, and they should be clearly labelled as such.. Baristarim 23:09, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
I have changed the structure of the page with regards to the origins of the crescent moon and star.. Take a look and tell me what u think.. Baristarim 23:27, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

The word legends is wrong, this was the Byzantium flag whether it was given by God or originated in 9000BC, when the Turks came, that was the flag of the city they conquered - not the flag they came with, it is not a legend, King Authur is a legend - elves and fairies are legends, not the moon and star of byzantium that the turks saw flying on the city walls when they took the city. Don't listen to the turk, he has been propounding the 'sun theory of languages' (Ataturks famous dreams!) over on the language pages :D :D :D

[edit] Hey friend

I noticed you say Athens is soon going to have a very big public park, I heard about this too, could you give me links? (preferably in english - but i dont mind spending a bit more time to read it in greek) So i can reada bout it.

Give me some days, there is not much in English because as you know in Greece, it takes years for details to be decided. However if it is done it will easily be the biggest metropolitan park in Europe as it is the site of the old airport known as hellenikon which streches along a large section of the athens coast. Here is a winning prize for the design, hopefully they do not take too much of the park for housing which is being debated:

[edit] Hey Reaper

Nice article this Ergotelis FC! I had no idea about the Junta thing and OFI! Do you have a citation for that? I'd love to read the spicy details! Keep up the good work! NikoSilver 23:07, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Also, I'm curious: How do the Cretans call Dragan Nacevski? And what happens when they play in Salonika or Kavala etc? NikoSilver 23:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Well Kerkyra FC have on loan a player called vance sikov who is now owned by Olympiakos and before that belonged to Xanthi FC, also Egaleo FC have a defender Goran Popov, another FYROMian. To be honest all these players act professional and never mention politics, so all the fans leave them alone. As for the Junta influencing transfers from Ergotelis to OFI Kreta, a fan of OFO told me this, I will ask him if he has any links! Reaper7 02:34, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
