A reaper is a farm tool. It comes from the word reap which means to take.

- Reaper (circa 1870), in Old West myths, the enemy of Phantom Rider, sought to takeover Bison Bend. Also known as Reverend Reaper, first appeared in Western Gunfighters #6, and killed in the same issue.
- In 1941, during World War II, Captain America and Bucky fought a man called Reaper. He appeared in Captain America Comics #22 during the Golden Age, and Invaders vol. 1 #10, more "recently".
- A member of Demon-Fire was also called Reaper. He first appeared in Vampire Tales #7 and was destroyed in Vampire Tales #8.
- An ex-cop, Louis Dawson, took on the Reaper mantle after his son died while he was fighting terrorists. He saved a boy and soon retired. He first appeared in Power Man/Iron Fist #109.
- An ancient demon, raised by Saracen and The Ancient, in order to slay Blade, was known as Reaper. It first appeared in Blade: Vampire Hunter #3 and appeared right until he was destroyed by exposure to sunlight in Blade: Vampire Hunter #6.
