[edit] Voice-Over Introduction

Michelangelo: You are not gonna believe this one! I'm in a world where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are Teenage Mutant Super Turtles! You heard me, Super Turtles! And I get to be a superhero. All right, more like a teen sidekick. But I'm beginning to get the idea that the one really bad thing about being a superhero is that you always have to fight supervillans.

[edit] Plot Synopsis

When the newly merged Ultimate Ninja and Drako scatters the turtles through time and space, Michaelangelo winds up in reality where the turtles become superheroes with a surprising arch enemy.

[edit] Trivia

  • The Super Hero turtles are based on the ones seen in the beginning of TMNT #7.
  • Ultimate Drako returns in the episode and separates the Turtles and Splinter across time and space.
  • The Universe Mikey ends up in an alternate universe where the turtles are superheroes. The turtles in this universe are:
    • Leonardo is Gravi-Turtle, possessing gravity manipulation powers.
    • Donatello is Shellectro, possessing electric powers. He is based on the Spider-Man villain Electro.
    • Raphael is Grid-X, possessing the power of maximization (the power to grow to giant size).
    • Michaelangelo is Bloboid, possessing a bloblike body which he can shape and contort in various ways.
  • The lair of the Super Turtles is an allusion to the hall of Justice from Super Friends.
  • There are two allusions to Star Wars in this episode. In one scene, Michaelangelo discovers that Splinter became a villain named Sliver, soon after the turtles said they lost him (lost him to evil). Another is the line Sliver speaks, "In time, my sons, you will learn to follow me once more. Together, we will rebuild the world and rule it!", which is similar to the line Darth Vader says to Luke in Empire Strikes Back.
  • Utromidium, the weakness of the Super Turtles, is a reference to the radioactive kryptonite, which is the fictional element responsible for Superman's weakness.
  • The 'Penultimate Nullificator' is a spoof of the "Ultimate Nullifier" used in the Fantastic Four comics.
  • Mikey's cat Klunk makes yet another brief appearance at the beginning of the episode. (He was sitting on the couch while Mike was reading his comic books.)
