RealWorld Icon Editor is a software application combining functionality of an icon editor with a simple 3D graphics editor.
The current version of the application supports Windows icons, including PNG-compressed icons used by Windows Vista. Mac icons (.icns) are supported.
The main advantages of this editor are the ability to create an icon with 3D look and feel without any external program, the sophisticated image-to-icon conversion with per-image settings, and a customizable GUI. On the other hand, the current version is criticized for a non-intuitive user interface when positioning 3D object or camera in space.
