[edit] Album beginnings
In the years following the falling out of her contract with Atlantic Records, Angela experimented with some of her favorites genres of music. She tried some Gospel music, some tejano music, as well as more of her inspirational ballads and rhythm and blues. She wanted to mix her favorite genres into one and ultimately found her unique style of rhythm and blues and reggaeton with English and Spanish lyrics.
Angela signed with Virgin Records in April 2006. Soon after the deal was sealed, Virgin Records put up an official Myspace page for Angela and posted one of her new recordings, entitled "Speakin' Spanish".
Angela completed the album on August 28, 2006, and the album will be released in March 2007.
