Reading Choral Society

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Reading Choral Society, located in Reading, PA and founded in 1875, is one of the nation's oldest musical ensembles. Edward A. Berg, the first director of the Society, helped the ensemble progress in its early years, in part due to his connection with prominent music figures of the time, including Theodore Thomas.

David P. DeVenney serves currently as the Society's tenth director. David Himes is the assistant conductor.
