I'm on Wikipedia as

I might start writing book soon to cover college, crypto-export-wars, ecashI , sealand, ecashII, iraq, etc, the hacker scene, etc.

I am pretty amazed by Wikipedia. Although, I recently rediscovered buying/reading books and magazines, and I'd still say there's a lot of value in content not yet online. All things being equal, I'd rather have something 95% as good, fully searchable, online, free, editable, commentable, etc. than anything else.

In fact, it is tempting to write a semi-autobiographical book AS a wiki. Something with maybe 2-3 versions of each article handled by DISAMBIG; base reality, the public version, a slightly fictionalized but only in minor ways, and "ideal" reality which is still plausible, and a fictional story using the same characters. The key would be making each article self-contained, so reading the fictional story all the way through is self-consistent, or dropping certain chapters down to normal reality, etc. This is probably impossible.

I spent some of my spare non-working non-reading non-shooting time watching "adult cartoons", like South Park, Futurama, The Simpsons, Drawn Together, and also sci fi like Battlestar Galactica.. I like watching an entire season at once. I do find it ironic that I'm using spare capacity on my satellite network to download content -- it might be $50-100/2CD retail for bandwidth.
