Hi, my name is Remy Suen and I am an undergraduate studying at the University of Waterloo. My main interests are programming, watching Japanese animations, and listening to music. My blog can be found here.

The programming language that I am most familiar with is Java. The main tools I use for programming are Eclipse and Vim. My primary operating system is Gentoo Linux, but my Fujitsu notebook is also capable of booting Windows XP. I also have great interests in Haiku, which is an open source project that is working to recreate BeOS.

I am actively involved in the open source community and am currently a committer for the Java-GNOME and Eclipse Communication Framework projects. I was a participant for Google's Summer of Code program in 2006 working on an implementation of the BitTorrent protocol in pure Java.
