Hey what's up. You didn't like my "formerly James" Akin? Hee hee. Actually he is a "formerly James" since his first books have the author as James Akin. I'm not sure if you knew this, but he changed his name back to his birth name Jimmy in 2002. From 1993 to 2001 or 2002 or so with Catholic Answers and This Rock everyone knew him as James Akin. That's why I said "formerly James" since he was formerly known as James Akin not Jimmy Akin. Another thing: he is not now known as James Akin. That is not his name. His name is Jimmy (formerly James) Akin. James Akin is not now his name. Anyway I'll accept your minor edit! Thanks! PhilVaz 04:18, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Changing ?international? Englisih to American English

Please don't change spelling to American spelling. This is against Wikipedia policy at Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National_varieties_of_English. You seem to do this routinely. Please could you stop.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Congodrmorris.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Congodrmorris.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 03:50, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Bobbieclint.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bobbieclint.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

[edit] comment

Rchamberlain, there is currently a dispute at Council of Conservative Citizens over whether charges made by the SPLC and similar groups should be asserted by Wikipedia as "fact" by including the CCC in the racism category. There is a discussion on the talk page, if you're interested. --Alsayid 20:44, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CallWave CFD

A tag has been placed on CallWave, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why CallWave is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:CallWave. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- Xtifr 14:25, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

requested reply made on Talk:CallWave. Note that I wan't responsible for the original CFD. I simply cleaned up the one that was there, and posted a notification here because the original requestor had (somewhat rudely) failed to do so. -- Xtifr 03:10, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Beckham source

[[1]] From Reuters:

Here's the opening:

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Soccer star David Beckham will reportedly earn $250 million in a five-year deal to play in the United States -- but at least 80 percent of that money has nothing to do with his kicking a ball for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Although Beckham, who leaves Real Madrid at the end of the season, will become the highest paid player for Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States, MLS sources say his annual playing income is only in the "single-figure millions."

With Beckham getting paid up to $50 million over five years for playing soccer, where does the rest of the money come from? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SirFozzie (talkcontribs) 02:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC).

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Peter Boyles, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. -- Scientizzle 07:35, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Goathorns.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Goathorns.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
