RC Succession

RC Succession is a Japanese rock band fronted by singer-songwriter Kiyoshiro Imawano. Imawano has been performing for more than 30 years, and the band was one of the most famous in Japan of the 1980s.

In 1970, RC Succession made its debut as an acoustic trio of Kiyoshiro Imawano (vocalist and guitarist), Wassho Rinko (basist) and Kenchi Haren (lead guitarist). Their first single is Takarakuji ha kawanai (宝くじは買わない; "I don't buy lottery tickets"). Their music have their roots in the American soul music, especially Otis Redding and Sam & Dave.

In 1990, they disbanded leaving the last single Baby a go go.
