[edit] Warsteiner Beer and Brewery
Warsteiner beer is brewed in the Arnsberger Forestpark outside of Warstein, Germany. As a dedicated family tradition, Warsteiner has been a product of the Cramer family since 1753. With Germany's largest privately owned brewery, Warsteiner has successfully brewed its most popular beer, Warsteiner Premium Verum, while gaining an outstanding international reputation as well as at home. Albert Cramer is company owner and managing director of Warsteiner and has used his company to promote and create a fanbase for competitive hot air ballooning in Germany.
Warsteiner is keeping it's German culture by maintaining brewing standards with the German Purity Law of 1516. Yet, the company is attracting younger adults with its beer-mixed drinks and "Limited Club Edition" bottle for clubbers. The company is using modern technology that allows 5,000 bottles to be produced an hour and Albert Cramer's "Logistics of the Future" group helped spark innovations in transporting Warsteiner products.
Warsteiner is involved in various beer fests and Oktoberfest activities and maintains elite status in Germany as well as dozens of countries around the world.
[edit] History of Warsteiner Beer
The history of Warsteiner beer links all the way back to 1753. Brewing beer in the same location for hundreds of years, Warsteiner brewed through historical times and even world wars. Though breweries in the Rhine were being bombed during WWII, the brewery remained unscathed.
In 1999, a rumor appeared in periodicals and articles all around Germany that Albert Cramer and the Warsteiner Company itself were Scientologists. Once Cramer was made aware of the rumor, he quickly denied it and hoped that the perpetrator would be found for the slander remark.

The brewery today uses the latest in brewing technologies. Technology, including extremely modern and advanced bottling and packaging machinery allows brewers to respond to immediate consumer needs and requirements. The newly remodeled brewery can create and package 5,000 bottles per hour. Company owner Albert Cramer created a group called "Logistics of the Future" in 1996 to brainstorm and create new methods of transportation of Warsteiner products. Warsteiner uses containers that can be put on semi-trucks, boats or railcars to send to consumers. The containers can also be used as store rooms where the beer is safe from leaks or other messy problems.
To continue to appeal to German young adults and today's trends, Warsteiner has began a beer-mix drink campaign that includes a Premium Cola, which contains caffeine, as well as Premium Lemon and Premium Orange drinks. Furthermore, Warsteiner has created a long-neck beer bottle and a "limited club edition" clear-glass bottle to target clubgoers.
[edit] Different Warsteiner Beers
All beers are brewed in strict accordance with the Germany Purity Law of 1516 which was instituted by Bavarian King Wilhelm IV. In accords with the German Purity Law, brewing can only consist of barley, hops, yeast and water. Many brewers outside of the purity law use corn, rice, sorghum and inexpensive raw cereal. The law initially proclaimed that it was protecting consumers' health from harmful additives and obviously bad beer. Today, the German beer market remains one of the most difficult to operate in because of the purity law and its' ability to force beer-makers to make pure and natural-tasting beer.
Warsteiner Premium Verum
Premium Verum is Warsteiner's most popular beer. It is exported to over 60 countries around the world. Premium Verum is a pilsener style beer containing a refreshing hop finish and bold, rich and smooth taste. The beer is said to have no aftertaste and a crisp, clean finish unmatched by an other beer. The beer consists of forest spring water, two-row malted summer barley and all German hops. The alcohol content is 4.8 percent.
Warsteiner Premium Dunkel
Premium Dunkel is Warsteiner's second most popular beer. Dunkel is a traditional style, dark beer. Dunkel, which is German for Dark, is said by Warsteiner to have a subtle spiciness yet balanced aroma. Warsteiner claims its thirst-quenching and refreshing dark beer is incomparable. The Alcohol content is 4.9%
Warsteiner Premium Fresh
Warsteiner's only non-alcoholic beer. Brewed exactly like the Premium Verum, Warsteiner proclaims that Fresh has the alcohol extracted in a gentle process to maintain the ultimate flavor.The beer is brewed with all natural ingredients. There is only 80 calories per 12 oz. bottle.
Konig Ludwig Weiss- Royal Bavarian Hefeweizen
Warsteiner proclaims that it's hefeweizen style beer is skilled and brewed in a Warsteiner tradition. Royal Bavarian is a golden hefeweizen style beer. The beer is said to have a fruity flavor and has a hint of bananas and apples. It is brewed with natural yeast and select bavarian ingredients. Royal Bavarian has an alcohol content of 5.5 percent.

German Oktoberfest celebrations containing Warsteiner beer can be seen all over the country as well as Oktoberfest celebrations in the United States and around the world. Warsteiner makes a seasonal beer entitled "Oktoberfest" for the German celebrations each year.
Warsteiner Owner Albert Cramer has been a staunch advocate of competitive ballooning and Warsteiner is the sponsor of the German Hot Air Balloon National Team. Cramer and Warsteiner received the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, Air Sports Federation, Award in 2001 and continues to be involved in Air Sports sponsorships and activities.
Warsteiner participated in the popular Newton Beerfest in Octover 2006, in which the company showcased it's lemon-flavored Hefeweizen beer as well as other popular beers.
In 2003, Warsteiner and German-Americans celebrated Steuben Day in New York City in commemoration of Baron Von Steuben during the American Revolutionary War. During the commemoration, the Revolutionary-dressed Prussian Drillmaster drinks a glass of Warsteiner to celebrate.
In the past, the company sponsored Harald Ertl, an Austrian Race Drive.
