[edit] History of the Label

Razorback Records was formed in 1999 when Billy Nocera and Jill Girardi both stopped working for their former labels, Be A Freak Records and Mortal Coil Records, respectively. They decided to pool their resources to create a new, more focused label, each having being involved in numerous labels, bands and ‘zines in the past. The first band signed to Razorback Records was Engorged, and the first album released was their “Death Metal Attack 2.”

[edit] Staff

Razorback, being a small, underground label, currently only employs two people – Jill Girardi (the CEO) and Billy Nocera (the President), the founders of the label. Jill is mainly in charge of promotion, especially with regard to updating the website and designing adverts. Billy focuses on working with the bands, signing them and setting up releases. There are, however, very many others who help out with the label, especially graphic design and the website – Sly "The Goregnome" Koorevar, from the band Fondlecorpse, for example, currently does nearly all of the CD layouts.

[edit] Artists

There have been many bands on Razorback Records, most of which are listed below. The first was Engorged and, currently, the best selling album is Frightmare's second album, Bringing Back the Bloodshed. The other most popular bands, in terms of album sales, are Impetigo and Blood Freak.[citation needed]
