[edit] Plagiarized?
This seems to be plagiarized from [[1]], given in the link in the main article. Hmmm.
- I agree. That page is copyright, U. of Maryland and asserts a last revision of 2003. The apparently offending material was added 28 January 2006 by an anon user from 67.161.47.7, so it looks like we're the problem, not them. I see no choice but to apply WP:CP and revert. Looks like most of the non-infringing work was formating, fixing, and categorization, so it shouldn't be a killer loss. Ick. I'll revert it tomorrow evenening (about 24 hours from now) unless someone else does it first. --studerby 02:04, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Date of Birth
Slonimsky says he was born 29 August 1926. I prefer to believe him, as he always bases his dates on birth certificates. If there is a more compelling argument for 1923 than the current linked article, I'd be happy to consider it. JackofOz 23:24, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
An examination of his birth certificate (Certificate of Birth, No. 418578) confirms 1923 as his birth year. I have explained the probably reason for the 1926 birth date that is given in many sources. Malikf 23:27, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hollywood Career
IMDB has no knowledge of his involvement in films as a child actor. Does anyone have any information on this? JackofOz 02:07, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
He had walk-on bit parts in a few movies in the mid 1930s, including I Dream Too Much, Mutiny on the Bounty, and A Tale of Two Cities. More info on this can be found in the Raymond Lewenthal Collection at the University of Maryland. Malikf 23:27, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
