Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems

Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is a major business segment of Raytheon. Headquartered in El Segundo, California, SAS has a total employment of 13,000 and 2005 sales of US$ 4.2 billion, nearly all of that in U.S. and foreign military contracts. Jon Jones was appointed segment President in late 2005, replacing the retiring Jack Kelble.
Raytheon SAS designs and manufactures a variety of electronic systems, including airborne radar, electro-optic and infrared sensors, electronic warfare systems, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, and high-energy lasers.
SAS has significant engineering and manufacturing facilities in El Segundo and in McKinney, Texas; an electronic warfare center in Goleta, California; and a consolidated manufacturing facility in Forest, Mississippi.
