Raymond Terrace, New South Wales

Raymond Terrace is a town in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia, about 20 kilometres north of Newcastle on the Pacific Highway. It is the administrative centre of Port Stephens Council and has about 12,000 residents.[1] It is a town situated at the confluence of the Hunter River and the Willams River. The town has four primary schools, St. Brigid's Raymond Terrace, Raymond Terrace Public, Irrawang Public and Grahamstown Public, and two high schools, Irrawang High School and Hunter River High School. There is a very good boat ramp adjacent to the Hunter River bridge and the area is popular with water skiers and fisherpeople alike. A fleet of prawn trawlers is based at Raymond Terrace.
