Ray Hunkins

Ray Hunkins was a Republican candidate for Governor of Wyoming. Hunkins is an Attorney, Rancher, Ex-Police Officer, and USMC Veteran. He sought and lost the Republican nomination for governor in 2002. He describes himself as a "common sense conservative."

The 2006 Wyoming Govenors Race took place on November 7, 2006. In the race incumbent Govenor Dave Freudenthal beat Mr. Hunkins with almost 70% of the vote total. This was no great surprise; Freudenthal's aprooval ratings have been around 70% for almost his entire four year term.
