ray is Japanese rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel's seventh album, released on July 1, 1999, the same day as their sixth album, ark. The albums produced a combined eight singles and secured the top two slots in the Japanese Oricon charts, with ray taking the second spot. The sixth track, L'Heure (The Hour) is currently the only all-french track by the band, a nod to the french origin of the ban'd name.
