The name's Ash, I'm an 18 year old student studying in first year at La Trobe University. I am currently doing a double science degree there, but am unsure as what I plan on doing when I have finished my course. I was born in Melbourne, Australia, and live with my parents and younger sister.

My main interests include:

• Listening to music
• Playing drums
• Reading books
• Playing video games
• Playing tennis
• Spending time with friends
• Watching TV/DVDs

My favourite genre of music is metal, but I have been known to like some rock and alternative aswell.

My favourite bands include: Arch Enemy, Blind Guardian, Chimaira, Disturbed, Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage, Korn, Megadeth, Metallica, Nightwish, Obituary, Old Man's Child, Opeth, Rammstein, Slipknot, Static-X, Stone Sour, Strapping Young Lad, System of a Down and Trivium.

I enjoy reading quite a bit, but due to mixed priorities I can't read as often as I would like.

I've also joined a wikiproject for my favourite series.

I am currently beginning The Path of Daggers, Book 8 in The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
