The Three Wise Men or Biblical Magi, traditionally named Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar, are spelled Gaspar, Melckior, and Balthassar (from front to back, or right to left) in this late 6th century mosaic at the Basilica of San Apollinare Nuovo in Ravenna, Italy.
