Raunchola (often mislabeled as "Run, Rabbit, Run" or "Anorexorcist") is a song by the American rock band Nirvana. A very rare song among collectors, only two existing recordings of the song are known to survive. One of them, from a January 23, 1988 performance in Tacoma, Washington, was officially released on the band's posthumous 2004 box set, With the Lights Out. The 1988 version, however, is a medley - the song gradually drifts into Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick".
The other version, recorded on December 14, 1987, was also from a live performance in Tacoma. This version is not a medley, which allows fans to hear the song in its original form. The 1987 version was unofficially released on the bootleg CD Outcesticide III.
The song does not have an official title - the title was made up after people working on the track list for "With the Lights Out" called Nirvana's bassist, Krist Novoselic, to ask him what the names of certain tracks were. When asked about "the one about parties, in the medley with Moby Dick", Novoselic responded, "Well, it's really raunchy...", but said he could not recall the title. Therefore, the track was called "Raunchola" after Novoselic's comment (that same phone call would also produce the name of their summer 1987 jam, "Mrs. Butterworth").
