Speak My Mind is an unreleased album from popular R&B singer Beyoncé with songs that are generally rare including soundtracks, b-sides, collaborations, unrelesed songs, and remixes. It was leaked to the internet on November 30, 2004 but is often stated as being "released" in 2005. The reasons behind it's non-release are as of yet unrevealed. Had it been released it would have been Beyoncé's first album to have a parental advisory warning label.
[edit] Track listing
- Note that because no official tracklisting was ever released some versions of the album will vary. The list above is the most common but in other common versions "Wishing on a Star" is track 5. In others, the non-remix version of "Wishing On A Star" is track 16 and the Intro is also track 17 as the outro. The other tracks seem to be consistent.
- "Summertime," which features Diddy, was included as the B-Side of the "Crazy in Love" single. Another version with Ghostface Killah also leaked on the internet. The Diddy version, as well as "Fever" appear on the Fighting Temptations soundtrack.
- Both "My First Time" and the non-remix version of "Wishing on a Star" appear on the Live at Wembley audio CD.
- "Wishing on a Star" was also included on the Roll Bounce soundtrack.
- "Crazy Feelings" was also included on Missy Elliott's Da Real World Album.
- The Outro is actually the Intro played over again.
- "What's It Gonna Be" was featured on the Japanese edition of Dangerously In Love.
- "Sexy Lil' Thug" is a remake of 50 Cent's break-out single "In Da Club". Apparently the version on Speak My Mind is the "co-ed" edition.
- "Check On It" was later released as a bonus track on B'Day.
- "I'm Leaving," along w/ "Sexy Lil' Thug" were on an unidentified mixtape release by Beyoncé.
- Another version of "Sexuality" exists, featuring rapper LL Cool J.
