Due to the nature of the style of this article, and lack of references - it reads like an appropriation of the cerita rakyat series that gramedia used to bring out in Indonesian - with relatively simplistic popular etymologies from relatively shallow level understandings of what was being written about. There is very recent scholarship in BKI which probably pours water on the whole of the reasoning provided in the contents of this article. I would caution very careful treading on the buddhist/hindu distinctions of this site, however, I will leave the article as is until I get my hands on the BKI article.
