Ratko Varda

Ratko Varda (born May 5, 1979 in Gradiska, SFR Yugoslavia) is Serbian basketball player. He currently plays for Real Madrid Baloncesto.
He came up through KK Partizan's system, before making himself eligible for 2001 NBA Draft. He ended up not getting selected but still found himself on the Detroit Pistons roster to start the 2001/02 season. Varda ended up spending 2 seasons in the NBA on the rosters of the Pistons and Washington Wizards but during that time he only featured in a single official game (played 6 minutes and scored 5 points).
Over the summer 2003, he came back to Europe with Beşiktaş of the Turkish Basketball League.
