Rathgormack

Rathgormack ('Rath Ó gCormac in Irish, meaning Rath of Cormac) is a parish in the northern part of County Waterford, Ireland. The centre of the parish has a small village, which has 2 pubs, 2 shops & the Roman Catholic Church. The closest centres of population to Rathgormack are the County Tipperary towns of Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel. It is the twin parish of Clonea-Power. Population of the area is around 1200. Farming and agricultural-related industries are the main employment sources. Tourism is also popular, with a hiking centre located in the village which caters for hikers in the nearby Comeragh mountains.
