Rata may refer to the following:

  • Rata is a generic Māori name for eleven species of trees and vines native to New Zealand belonging to genus Metrosideros, the best-known species being Metrosideros robusta (Northern rata) and M. umbellata (Southern rata)
  • Rata Honey is produced predominantly from the Southern Rata (Metrosideros umbellata) on the West coast of New Zealand's South Island.
  • In Polynesian mythology, Rata (or Laka) is an important mythological figure. See:
