- It's a misprint for "traced". And the whole article is practically word-for-word from the Encyc. Britt. 11th ed. (including the clause with "traced"). Alsihler 19:59, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

I've added a bibliography section, although this may seem slightly repetitive...It just seems to me that it makes it easier to go about the article. BTW, I was wondering where these papers could be found now - aside from the one in the external link section (and it's not in English)...None to be found on Project Gutenberg.
