Raphoe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Raphoe is a town in eastern County Donegal, Ireland. Unusually for the Republic of Ireland, it has a majority Presbyterian population. Conversly, however the Catholic Diocese for Donegal is the Diocese of Raphoe. It has come under the media spotlight recently after attempts by the Garda Síochána to frame a local publican, Frankie McBrearty, for the murder of cattle dealer Richie Barron.[citation needed]
