[edit] License tagging for Image:Midnight's Children.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Midnight's Children.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:06, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Atonement.jpg and others

I'm informing you that your additions of images to articles (such as Image:Atonement.jpg to Atonement (novel)) are somewhat unneccesary as well as disruptive to the format of these articles. The paperback covers you're adding are not the first cover editions, which are preferred for novel articles, nor are they included in the infobox. In certain instances, if there are two drastically different covers that are many years apart, or if there is a cover to advertise a film adaptation, a second may be added below the infobox. The infobox should remain on top of the article, so if you add images in the future (which I honestly believe you should rethink), please place them below it. I'm going to go back and edit the articles so that they properly follow the WP Novel guidelines. I suggest you take a look at them before adding to novel articles in the future. Thank you.
