I am interested in current events and issues, as well as wider things such as history. Most of my time here has been put into covering contemporary global issues, such as the Iraq War, 2006 Israel-Lebanon Conflict, and Somalian War. Part of the reason behind it is purely selfish, its a useful excuse to learn more about the topics when you are working with others to put together an article. But I suppose another reason is because these topics that are just happening are often so mired with misinformation that a lot of people could get the wrong picture. So many times at the Lebanon War article in its early days there would be biased views put in from either side. Something as contentious as that needs people who are willing to do give it a good look and try to sift through the muck to get to the bottom of things. Often times people get fed up with the process here, but I think that if you can enter a situation with a clear head, you can get through it just fine.
