I'm sorry, but I don't think any of the links you offer is related to the current definition of ransomware, I guess you meant Ransomware (malware)
[edit] Inaccurate Definition?
After reading this article and the one here on wikipedia, a newcomer hearing the term finds two vastly differing definitions of the term ransomware. I ask this question - if the open source community is so annoyed by propreitary software and companies which develop and promote it, then what about companies who would like to do business with free software? How exactly are they supposed to survive financially? Don't you think that recovering the development costs as a company and then releasing the software as free is a much better practice (both business-wise and ethically) than real ransomware that the article cited above talks about (like software that takes control of users' machines and doesn't let them use their machines normally without paying up)?
