[edit] Explanation of my edits
My edits of the article were mostly to make the article more compliant with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, which says that Wikipedia articles should not promote a particular point of view. This policy also excludes personal opinions, so your opinion that the city should have an engineering college, no matter how valid, is not suitable in the article. If you're able to cite reliable sources about a debate to add an engineering college to the city, then it would be fine to add the information. Describing a church as "beautiful" is also out of the bounds of the neutral point of view policy, because it's giving a personal and subjective opinion. There must be more to say about the church - why was it built in Ranaghat, is there any interesting history to it?
I've also removed information like train schedules because of the policy that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information; train schedules and times are too detailed for city articles. They can also change quickly, and the best place to document this change is in a company's train timetables, not on Wikipedia. Finally, I also made edits to fix some spelling and grammatical errors; fixing these errors gives an article a more professional appearance. Graham87 04:09, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
