Ranko Krivokapić is the current President of the Parliament of the Repbulic of Montenegro and the President of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro (SDP)

Ranko was born on August 12, 1961 in Kotor, Montenegro, Yugoslavia. His political interest began in the end of the 1980s.

Following the ratification in June, 2006 by the Montenegro's Parliament of an independence referendum held in May, 2006, Krivokapić thus became the President of a sovereign parliament, rather than that of a constituent state of the former Union of Serbia and Montenegro.

In December 2006, Bosnian police uncovered information about a planned assassination attempt of the Serbian Prime Minister in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik; Krivokapić was accused as one of the highest people in the chain of organization of the assassination attempt, which includes various circles of Serbian mafia (Zemun Clan).
