[edit] Your name

Hi! I noticed you have a very similar name to another user (see User talk:RandomWolf). You may want to read WP:USERNAME about similar usernames so you don't get in trouble, thanks! Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 14:39, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RFC discussion of your username (RamdomWolf)

Hello, RamdomWolf, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Wikipedia has a policy on what usernames editors can use. Unfortunately, concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with that policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it here. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. -- Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 14:43, 29 March 2007 (UTC) Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 14:43, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] discussion of my name

I'm not sure where to argue this but. RamdomWolf has alwyas been my backup name whereever I go. Primarily I've always choosen Wolfkin but as that was taken I choose RamdomWolf. In middle school it 'was' randomwolf but in college I had a math professor we used to make fun of who always used to say 'ramdom' instead of 'random'. I've been editing for a while. maybe over a year not but I only recently decided to create a username. I have no intention of masquerading myself as him and I doubt he has any intentions of parading around as me. I probably won't be involved in any in depth discussion at all I just primarily want to make the edits I do and keep track of them.

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because your name is to close to the existing user RandomWolf, sorry but you will need to pick another (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username. Wikipedia:Username policy provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may appeal on your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.

If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account. HighInBC(Need help?
