Heya,

Thanks for fixing my numerous spelling errors on the story part of the Guild Wars page. I should probably have used a spell checker judging by the number of them! :) I also apologise for trampling on changes you'd made earlier in the week, but I'd been working on an older version of the page and didn't properly check the page before submitting.

Hey no worries about the changes, it's much more concise now so it's looking good (I knew I was right when I thought to myself "Hmmm I could've sworn the story section was a lot longer before!). The spelling changes were minor and half of them are probably unnecessary (it's just I'm pedantic :P).

[edit] Guild Wars articles for deletion

Hi. I have just nominated several Guild Wars-related articles for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guild Wars articles. My rationale is explained there, but in brief I don't think this is encyclopedic information. As you are the principal author of most of these articles, you may wish to post your comments and monitor that discussion. Kaustuv Chaudhuri 12:12, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Kaustuv, I've provided my comments.

There seems to be a developing consensus for a merge of the character articles. I've taken a first shot at it: User:Kaustuv/List of Guild Wars characters. It is completely unsourced, and based entirely off information on GuildWiki. I'm not a Guild Wars player. Would you see an article such as this as a suitable compromise. (Feel free to edit/correct this page; it can be moved to the main namespace if the AfD is finished and the consensus is to merge.) Kaustuv Chaudhuri 17:02, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Sure, a merge is a suitable compromise (if indeed that goes ahead). I'll check it out ASAP. Thanks for your efforts. --Rambutaan 22:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Guild Wars Elite Skills

I don't agree with this edit. Elite skills are explicitly mentioned previously in the section, and therefore, it should be explained how to acquire them. Do you have another reasoning behind the edit that I haven't seen? Epsoul 00:37, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

It's not that I don't think they should be mentioned at all, just separately. Let's say we do include the fact you can use a cap sig to get elites, then you'd also need to mention you can get the elites by winning Balthazar Faction and purchasing it from a skill trainer in PvP. Also, you may have noticed a sign being posted above the section stating that the information at the moment is a candidate for a game wiki :(. So I was worried that if we decided to go into even more detail on how the game works it could give even further justification for the section to be removed completely :(. I think that the elites should be mentioned separately or as an aside to the current list (perhaps place in brackets that you can acquire elites this way as well). Anyway, I don't mind if you change it back - it was only my suggestion :). --Rambutaan 00:44, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Horderaid

How do I go about giving a fair use rationale? --NLUT

It's not really much, just stating that the screenie you got isn't stepping on anyone's toes :). --Rambutaan 04:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Role call
We ask that within a month, all members sign our role call to show that they are still active participants in the project. More information is available on the role call page.
Major news
WikiProject RuneScape, our former child project, was moved to become a task force of this project in January as it had a small scope but the task force is still going strong to this very day.

This past quarter marks the beginning of our new collaboration system MMOGCM. Past collaborations thus far have been World of Warcraft and MMORPG, both of which made it to GA status while it was the MMOGCM.

As well, we now have an Outreach Department which works on this newsletter as well as spreads the word of our project.

WikiProject MMO is also now a participant in the Work via WikiProjects division of Wikipedia 1.0 and as such, we will be helping decide which are the best (based on quality and importance) articles within our scope. Project members can discuss which articles are to be included here.

News from the RuneScape Task Force
We are currently trying to improve this task force so that we can edit all RuneScape-related articles in an organized manner. To do that we started a massive overhaul which we invite all task force members to participate in.

We have also gotten our main article, RuneScape to good article status this quarter. All this, and the task force was only created in January.

Signed...
