Ramon Aquino

Ramon Aquino (August 31, 1917 - March 31, 1993) was the 15th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
He was the Last Chief Justice appointed by President Ferdinand E. Marcos on November 20, 1985.

He was born on August 31, 1917 at Lemery, Batangas. He Graduated his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines in 1939 and was 6th Placein the 1939 Bar, with a grade of 89.1%
He is the Husband of Carolina Grino-Aquino,also a Bar Topnocher and who would be later appointed as associate justice during the Aquino Administration.
He is a law professor and author of several books in Civil, Criminal And Commercial Laws.He held a lot of government positions before being appointed as Associate Justice to the Philippine Supreme Court on October 29, 1973.
He resigned on March, 6, 1986 following the request of the new Aquino Government.

A staunch supporter of the Marcos government, he concurred with decisions upholding government policy. It was later known that when there would be court decisions that would go against the Marcos government, he would put 'no part' in the said decision, thus giving him the sobriquet 'Justice No Part'.
