Ramon is a fictional character in the King of Fighters video game series. He made his first appearance in King of Fighters 2000. Ramon is known as the only character by far to speak Spanish in the game. His moves and attacks are inspired by Tiger Mask, an anime soon adopted into real life.

[edit] History

Ramon was a Mexican child who lived in poverty. Working overtime and balancing multiple jobs to support his family, Ramon finally discovered his true calling when he entered the wrestling ring of masked luchador wrestling.

Beginning his tutelage under a famed and retired wrestler, Ramon pushed his physical prowess to its limits. Incorporating various techniques and high-flying acrobatics, he became the undisputed champion and soon entered the professional leagues.

He soon came to find the admiration of many, and after one of his matches, he found himself approached by Vanessa, who requested his cooperation in forming a team for The King of Fighters 2000 tournament. He seemed to have a slight infatuation for Vanessa. Feeling he could expand his horizons and competitive spirit further, he accepted to cooperate with her. Meeting the rest of his teammates; K' and Maxima, Vanessa revealed the consensus for entering the tournament: to disband the NESTS cartel. Making it to the finals, the team faced the powerful Zero, eventually defeating him. However, the Zero cannons fire upon South town and the team is forced to make a hasty retreat.

In the King of Fighters 2001, Ramon joins with Seth and Vanessa in an attempt to disband the remains of the NESTS Cartel, ending with the collaborated effort of Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, and K's defeat of Igniz.

[edit] Moveset

Ramon has a four part chain-throw as his LDM move in The King of Fighters XI, which is the longest chain-throw in The King of Fighters' history.
He also possesses an unblockable HDM rush move in The King of Fighters 2002. It has several different enders that will occur randomly the move is done. These enders include a dropkick, a flying headbutt, a flying bodypress, and his Somersault Kick.
