Ramiro Pruneda (born January 25, 1983 in Monterrey, Mexico) [1] is an American football offensive tackle currently playing for the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs. On January 26, 2007 the Chiefs agreed to terms on a two-year deal with Pruneda. [2] Pruneda is expected to help bolster the Chiefs' offensive line heading into the Chiefs' 2007 season.

Pruneda joins the Chiefs after a five-year standout career at Monterrey Tech in Monterrey, Mexico. He attended training camp with NFL Europe in 2006 as a national player. He was assigned to the Cologne Centurions after mini-camp, but suffered a knee injury that forced him miss the entire season. [2]

The Monterrey, Mexico native was part of a Monterrey Tech team that claimed four National Championships and was named the country’s Best Offensive Lineman three times by the ONEFA (Mexican counterpart to the NCAA). Pruneda was a five-time selection to the Mexican National Team, playing in the Aztec Bowl against an NCAA Division III All-Star Team. He attended the same alma mater of Philadelphia offensive line coach Juan Castillo. He started his football career at High School No. 2 in Monterrey, Mexico. [2]
