Ramendra Sundar Tribedi (1864-1919), a renowned Bengali author, was born in Murshidabad.

From the very first class, Ramendra Sundar Tribedi stood first. After obtaining B. Sc. degree being first, took physics and chemistry as subjects and got Premchad Scholarship.
Was a professor of Ripon College of Kolkata and later, was the principal.

Ramendra Sundar Tribedi has mainly written books based on science and philosophy. Started writing in ‘Sadhona’ magazine.
Was working with ‘Bongio Sahitya Porishod’ and `Parishad’.
His literary works were included in the curriculum of school level, secondary, higher secondary and graduation level Bengali Literature in Bangladesh.
