Ralph Winter

Ralph Winter is a Hollywood film producer who has produced blockbuster movies such as the X-Men and Fantastic Four series. He currently has an overall first look deal with 20th Century Fox.
Also in production is Winter's film adaptation of Ted Dekker's breakout 2003 Thriller novel: Thr3e. The movie began production in 2005 and will be released on January 5, 2007. Besides Thr3e, Winter has also produced the film Hangman's Curse, which was another novel-to-movie creation written by Christian author Frank Peretti. Another movie has just wrapped, written by both authors, titled House, which should release in theaters in 2007.
Ralph Winter is a native of Glendale, California. He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he studied History. His first experience in production was producing training videos for Broadway Department Stores. In 1978, Winter started working in the film business for Paramount Pictures television, where he worked on Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and Mork and Mindy. Following his experiences in television he started working alongside Harve Bennett on the Star Trek films. He was an associate producer on Star Trek III, executive producer on Star Trek IV, and producer on both Star Trek V and VI.
Winter is a Presbyterian and his faith influenced him to make a movie based on the Left Behind series of books.
Winter is also a partner in ThomasWinterCooke, which produces television commercials and represents a number of commercial directors.
Winter is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
He has helped along such film Schools such as the Veracity Project.
Recently, it was announced he is producing a film version of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. [1]
