Ralph Chandler

Rear Admiral Ralph Chandler (23 August 1829 – 9 February 1889) served in the United States Navy. He saw action during the Mexican-American War, the American Civil War and later served as Commander, Asiatic Squadron.
Born in New York, Chandler was appointed to the Navy as midshipman on September 17, 1845.
His commands included Maumee, Swatara, San Jacinto,
He died in Hong Kong of apoplexy while serving as Commander, Asiatic Squadron.
