Ralph Allwood

Ralph Allwood (b. 1950) ( pronounced "Raiph") is the Precentor and Director of Music at Eton College in the UK. He is a well-known conductor and has set up many musical events, not the least of which are the hugely successful Eton Choral Courses of which there are now six a year. He previously worked at the music department in Uppingham.
Ralph has implemented many changes to the Eton College Music Department since his arrival in 1987. He has introduced changes to the music lesson and scheduling system.
Ralph directs and runs the College Chapel Choir at Eton to a very high standard, and has been doing so since 1985. He is also the conductor of the Rodolfus Choir (also known as 'Rods'), which consists of choral singers selected from the Eton Choral Courses.
