On Enterprise, T'Pol continues to aide Trip Tucker in helping him sleep. He confesses that he is reluctant to continue the Vulcan nerve therapy with her because he has learned that some members of the crew believe the two have started a romantic relationship and because Malcolm Reed made a joke about his "magic fingers". T'Pol tells him that they are senior officers and should disregard such idle rumor.

While roaming the Delphic Expanse, the Enterprise rescues a love-slave named Rajiin from an alien bazaar. She seduces member after member of the crew and takes scans of them and flees on a Xindi ship. We learn that she was a spy sent by the reptilian Xindi in order to construct a biological weapon to use against the humans without the approval of the Xindi council.

[edit] Trivia

  • Regarding Commander Tucker's use of black pepper as a means of barter, it is interesting to note that one of the things that prompted sea trade on Earth was spices from China and India. Therefore, trading a valuable formula for common but desirable kitchen spices is not farfetched.
