Rajbiraj

Rajbiraj is a town in south-eastern Nepal, 18 kms north of the Indian border, the administrative headquarters of the Saptari district. It has an airfield with flights to Kathmandu.It is well connected to the main highways that run about 10 km aside the main town with the highway running all over the terai regions in Nepal. It was the one of the few cities that was given the status of municipality when the country came into powers of king. It is also the headquarter of the Sagarmatha Zone under which it comes as well the headquarter of the district Saptari.
