Rajawat is the name of a branch or sub-clan of the Kachwaha clan of Suryavanshi rajputs.Descendants of Raja Bhagwant Das of Amber, India are known as Rajawats.The Maharaja of Jaipur belongs to this sub clan.Some other Kachawas having descent from the Raja of Amber also use Rajawat as surname. Some Prominent Thikanas of this clan includes the house of Isarda, Jhalai, Barwara, Sewar, Dhula and Baler.
