Raj Comics

Raj Comics is an Indian publishing house which has been publishing comic books since 1984. It has produced close to 3000 comics till date.

The company focuses mainly on superhero-centric comic books. The majority of their output is in the Hindi language, but a few titles and 'special editions' have been translated into English.

There is presently no Comics Code in India. It is largely upto the publisher to decide the suitability of the content for its readers. As Comics are still regarded as an exclusively child-oriented medium, sexuality and nudity are generally considered off-limits. However, comics do frequently depict graphic violence.

The following is a list of the minor characters in Raj Comics.

  • Saudangi: She is a powerful Ichhadhaari snake who resides as a microsnake in Nagraj's body. She has the uncanny powers of Egyptian magic and illusion.
  • Sheetnag Kumar: He is a powerful ichhadhaari snake who resides as a microsnake in Nagraj's body. He has the power of ice and can survive extremely cold temperatures.
  • Thodanga: One of the several Nagraj villains, used to reside in Africa. He recently died in one of his encounters with Nagraj. He possessed awesome strength and his body type resembled a Rhino.
  • Jadoogar Shakoora: Jadoogar Shakoora is a magician from a far-off planet. He has troubled Nagraj with his magic numerous times and declared a fugitive in his planet. Jadoogar is planned to be the main recurring villain on the upcoming Nagraj television cartoon.
  • Miss Killer: Miss Killer is a villain who has numerously tried to take Nagraj down. She is a resourceful lady with futuristic scientific labs.
  • Nagina: Nagina is one of the crafty Nagraj villains. She uses black magic to combat Nagraj.
  • Nagpasha: Nagpasha is possibly one of Nagrah's most powerful enemies. Nagpasha is Nagraj's own uncle who turned evil. He is immortal and keeps coming back at Nagraj with his wicked plans.
  • Nagpreti: Nagpreti is a Powerful snake from Nagdweep. He has a creepy appearance and is thought to be a half-ghost, half-snake being.
  • Singh Nag: SinghNag is a Powerful snake from Nagdweep. He is half-lion, half-snake and has powerful physical abilities.
  • Nagmani: Prof. Nagmani is an evil genius. He is the creator of Nagraj and his clone enemy Nagdant. He created Nagraj to spread terrorism, and used him as a weapon against the world. His first appearance was in the first Nagraj comic book Nagraj.
  • Bharti: Also known as "faceless," Bharti is an employee of Nagraj and takes care of his Satellite TV channel. No one knows that Nagraj owns the channel. Bharti is taken to be the owner. Raj (Nagraj's alter-ego) is her employee. Bharati is the daughter of Vedacharya, a black-magician. She secretly loves Nagraj and helps him anonymously.
  • Chandkaal: Chandkaal is a monster of a criminal. He is the last descendant of the Rakshasa race and is determined to promote the forces of darkness with his demonic powers and scheming brain.
  • Dhawaniraj: Dhawaniraj literally means "king of sound." He uses sonic energy as his weapon to create destruction and terror.
  • Visarpi: Visarpi is being depicted as the major love interest of Nagraj. She was almost married to Nagraj in 'Visarpi Ki Shaadi'. However, internal politics on Nagdweep and Nagraj's vow to stay in outside world to protect innocent from international terrorists prevented their marriage.
