[edit] Plot Summary
The events in Anansi Boys take place around the death of Mr. Nancy, father of Fat Charlie Nancy, both characters originally introduced in Gaiman's novel American Gods. As a result of his father's death Fat Charlie is forced to reconnect with his childhood, his relationship with his father, and his previously unknown brother. As with American Gods, Gaiman weaves modern retellings of myths from other cultures into his storytelling, in this case the West African Anansi stories.
