Raindance Film Festival

The Raindance Film Festival is the largest independent film festival in the United Kingdom. The festival was established in 1992 to celebrate and support independent filmmaking and has gone on to feature such successes as Pulp Fiction, The Blair Witch Project, Capturing the Friedmans, Memento, Oldboy, Steve Balderson's Firecracker, Girlfriend in a Kimono, & End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones.
The film festival runs annually from the end of September to the first week of October in central London, England. Previous jury members include Lou Reed, Dame Judi Dench, Marky Ramone, Dutch photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbijn, British actress Parminder Nagra, American filmmaker Jonathan Caouette, and American cinematographer Matthew Libatique.
Patrons of Raindance include Ewan McGregor, Terry Gilliam, Mike Figgis, Ken Loach, and Marky Ramone. The festival attracts key industry figures including notable appearances by Alan Rickman, Mike Figgis, Ken Loach, Don Letts, Marky Ramone, Trudie Styler, Vanessa Redgrave, Noel Gallagher, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jonny Lee Miller.
Raindance is also the founder of the British Independent Film Awards.
