Railway Stakes (Australia)

The Railway Stakes is a 1600 metre thoroughbred horse race under handicap conditions. The race is held at Ascot Racecourse in Perth, Australia in December.

From 1894 to 1925 was run over 12 furlongs (approx. 2400m).
From 1926 to 1973 was run over 8 furlongs (approx. 1600m).
From 1974 to 1983 was run over 1500m.
1984 to present 1600m.
