Railroad Square

Railroad Square is a small district of Tallahassee, Florida, located on Industrial Drive, filled with a variety of metal art sculptures and stores selling artwork and various curiosities. Railroad Square is frequented by members of the hippie, punk and beatnik subcultures, including a considerable number of students from local colleges and high schools. Railroad Square is mainly known for its small locally owned stores, its alternative art and music scenes, and its acceptance of homosexuals. On the first Friday of every month, Railroad Square is home to a free art and music showcase known as First Friday.
